UPS, FEDEX and BNSF railway join BITA alliance

Freight trans­port is also tur­ning to block­chain tech­no­lo­gy. UPS, FedEx, BNSF Railway and Schneider Trucking are one of the 200+ big names in an alli­ance explo­ring block­chain tech­no­lo­gies in freight transport.
The main aim of the con­sor­ti­um is to bring tog­e­ther com­pa­nies in the freight indus­try and crea­te a stan­dards frame­work while test­ing out block­chain applications.
BiTA, Blockchain in Transport Alliance orga­niza­ti­on, has an eye on pro­vi­ding edu­ca­tio­nal resour­ces and help to fright trans­port com­pa­nies that are inte­res­ted in lea­ding the evo­lu­ti­on of the indus­try with the use of block­chain technology.
